It is a great backup for comparing readings to my Libra plus 3, now my Dexcom G7 monitor. These monitors are not fool proof. and can give false information.

Two small bottles that answer the question every tester asks sooner or later: is it me, the strip or the meter? The red-capped high and green-capped low solutions each produce a reading that should land inside the ranges printed on your EasyTouch strip vial. If both do, your meter, strips and technique agree.

As a diabetic keeping glucose monitored is very important. I run a calibration every time I start new test strips and adjust as needed. I then use the test strips to help keep my cgm calibrated. The result is my GMI is never more than 0.2 different than my A1C. Worth it if you're really serious about keeping everything as accurate as possible.
